Stride Support
Stride turns walking into a weight-loss plan: a personal daily step goal computed from a short quiz, a live step ring, a weight trend chart that smooths daily noise, and GPS walk tracking that auto-sorts every walk.
How does Stride count my steps?
Stride uses your iPhone's built-in motion sensor (pedometer). During onboarding you can also let Stride read your step history from Apple Health to set an accurate starting baseline. If your phone is not on you, tap Log steps on the Today tab to enter them manually.
How is my daily step goal computed?
Your quiz answers (current weight, goal weight, height, age, sex, baseline daily steps, and the pace you pick) produce a personal daily step goal and a predicted date for reaching your goal weight. You can adjust the goal any time on the Steps tab.
Why does the trend differ from what the scale says?
Stride measures change on a 10-reading weighted moving average, the same approach Happy Scale uses. Daily weigh-ins bounce from water and meals; the moving average shows the true direction. Each logbook entry carries your true weekly rate at that point.
How does walk tracking work?
Tap Track walk on the Walks tab. Stride records your GPS route (only while you track), distance, duration, and estimated steps, then auto-sorts each walk: a repeated route becomes a commute, a fast sustained pace becomes a workout, everything else is leisure. Tap a walk's tag to change it.
What is Stride Pro?
Pro unlocks 10 weight milestones with a predicted date for each, plus forecast predictions for your goal date. It is an optional auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly, or yearly) sold through Apple In-App Purchase; the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. The free version includes step tracking, the weight trend chart, the logbook, and walk tracking.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Open the paywall (tap Go Pro anywhere it appears) and use the Restore option. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID.
Where is my data?
On your iPhone only. Stride has no account, no server, and no analytics. Deleting the app deletes everything. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Daily reminders
Turn on weigh-in and step reminders in Settings. They are local notifications on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.
